Welcome to the Troop!

Troop History

We are a young troop in more than age.

I contacted our Regional representative, Amy Hutcherson, and was greatly encouraged by her professional attitude and support and I became a leader. Thankfully, the other co-leader is also very supportive and we decided to make a go of it. So, here we are! (Read this hysterical account of another woman who started her leadership in a similar way...)

We held our first meeting less than 24 hours later, and it was pretty hectic. I hadn't had a chance to send out the agenda; indeed, my expectations were too high considering the girls were just getting to know each other (and the parents!) but we did manage to make name badges, play 'Daisy Daisy Juliette', introduce 'the quiet sign' and get everyone to recognize it; and the parents met and got a lot of the start-up decisions made and out of the way.
